5 Engineering Entrance Exams Apart From JEE You Can Write
If you are preparing for JEE 2017, here are other top engineering entrance exams that you should also be preparing for.
No matter which state in India you belong to, you can attempt these entrance exams to get admission to these top universities.
1. BITSAT for BITS Pilani, Rajasthan
To get admission to BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, Goa & Dubai campuses for Integrated First Degree programme (Bachelor of Engineering or Dual Degree), you have to write the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT).
BITSAT is an 3-hour online MCQ test that is conducted in multiple test centres across India in major cities. There are 40 questions each in Physics & Chemistry, 45 questions in Maths, 15 questions in English Proficiency and 10 questions in Logical Reasoning, making a total of 150 questions.
For every correct answer, 3 marks are awarded and 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer.

2. MU-OET for Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka
To get admission to Manipal Institute of Technology, you have to write Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET).
MU-OET, like BITSAT, is conducted in test centres across India and is a 2 hour and 30 minutes long online MCQ test.
There are 50 questions asked in Physics and Chemistry, 70 questions in Mathematics and 30 questions in English & General Aptitude.
3. SRMJEEE for SRM University, Tamil Nadu
To get admission to SRM University, you have to write SRM University's Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE).
SRMJEEE is an 2 hour, 30 minute online MCQ test conducted in test centres across India. Each subject (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) has 35 questions each
For every correct answer, 3 marks are awarded and no marks are deducted for an incorrect answer.

4. VITEEE for Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu
To get admission to Vellore Institute of Technology, you have to write VIT's Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE).
VITEEE is an 2 hour, 30 minute online MCQ test conducted in test centres across India. In VITEEE, you attempt a total of 125 questions - 40 questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 5 questions from English.
No marks are deducted for incorrect answers i.e. there is no negative marking.
5. AEEE for Amrita University, Tamil Nadu
To get admission to the Amritapuri, Coimbatore or Bangalore campuses of Amrita University, you have to write Amrita University's Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE).
AEEE is an 2 hour, 30 minute online MCQ test conducted in test centres across India. They also conduct a Pen & Paper (offline) mode.
You will be asked 40 questions worth 120 marks from Mathematics, and 30 questions worth 90 marks from Physics and Chemistry, for a total of 100 questions & a maximum of 300 marks.
For every correct answer, you are awarded 3 marks, and for an incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.
